Handmade Irregularities and Variations

Variations in Kanjivaram pieces, renowned for their exquisite craftsmanship and rich silk or cotton fabric, contribute to their allure. Here are some common variations:

  1. Design Patterns: Kanjivaram pieces are known for their intricate and elaborate motifs, which can vary significantly from one piece to another. These variations in design patterns showcase the creativity and skill of the weavers.
  2. Color Combinations: The color combinations used in Kanjivaram pieces can vary widely, ranging from traditional and understated to vibrant and contemporary. These variations allow for a diverse range of choices to suit different tastes and occasions.
  3. Zari Work: The use of zari (metallic thread) in Kanjivaram pieces adds a touch of luxury and opulence. Variations in the type of zari used, such as gold or silver colour, as well as the intricacy of the zari work, contribute to the uniqueness of each saree.
  4. Border and Pallu Designs: Kanjivaram sarees are often characterized by their distinctive borders and pallus (decorative end pieces). Variations in border width, design motifs, and pallu detailing add to the individuality of each piece.
  5. Texture and Weave: The texture and weave of Kanjivaram silk can vary depending on factors such as yarn thickness, weaving technique, and finishing processes. These variations influence the drape, feel, and overall look of the piece.

Overall, the variations in Kanjivaram pieces reflect the rich heritage and artistic diversity of this traditional Indian textile, making each piece a unique masterpiece.

Our product photos are captured under various lighting conditions to provide an accurate representation. While we strive to showcase each item as true to reality as possible, slight color variations may occur due to differences in phone resolution, camera lenses and individual perspectives.
